I wrote about a shawl that I had started to knit. I haven’t finished that get, because I started on a new one after I found a yarn I just loved when I was shopping one day. I have finished that one now and it turned out like this. Unfortunately I happen to throw away the label of the yarn before I started to write this and my memory is really bad so I don’t remember the brand. But it’s some kind of silky wool….

At first I had some problems reading the pattern, it is in English and I have sometimes problems to understand knitting patterns in Swedish. (When I made a sweater like this I had to phone my mother a thousand times and ask how to knit because I forgotten what she said all the time.) And I also first found a pattern that was incomplete which made me confused. After I found a complete pattern it was easier to make the shawl and I am satisfied whit the result. Now I only have to start use it to.

Now remains to finish the first shawl I started on and after that I’m thinking of knit another shawl that I found a pattern to. Yes, I tend to take a liking to things when I start….

Hanna has earlier today written about a really great show we went to yesterday, Kalle & Laleh – vem har lurat barnen? (Who has deceived the children?) Laleh is a Swedish musician who is really talented and Kalle who I never had heard of earlier is Swedish master in poetry slam. They combined poetry and music in the show. And I can only agree with Hanna, I love them! It was so great and I’m still happy. They felt as a unit and not as two artists doing individual things on the same stage, which could be a risk in a show like theirs.

There where many contemplative things they touched, but there were always love and remembrances of childhood, a childhood that could have been my, yours or just anyone.

Oh, so great! And I took some pictures to.

If you live in Sweden and the show reaches your town, you most go and see them.

It has been a really great weekend here when it comes to the weather, sunny not so cold and a lot of light. So I took my car and went home to my parents and the house near the ocean. I really love the ocean, especially when the water is opened contrary to now when it’s frozen. But I like it a lot then too. To be seated on a rock and watch out in the infinite it’s the greatest. (ok, I know that after infinite comes Finland)

Took the camera and went for a walk, of course I had forgotten to charge the battery so after half the way my camera died…

I realized that I couldn’t live without curtains in my windows though I really gave it a try. But no, I’m not that type of person. If there now is a type “living without curtain person”. Anyhow I made it easy and only did a pelmet, didn’t become so expensive either.

Yes, it is night and bad light, and day and to much light, I know. Better then nothing.

I will soon show the last New Years cards that I have received. But I haven’t been able to take photos of them get.

But for the moment the knitting devil has his grip on me because I found a really great shawl when I was surfing the net on day. So for the moment I can’t think of anything else.

Here is a picture of the shawl that inspired me.

This is the card that I have sent out in the new years swap that Myra organize. It was really fun to make them when I had figure out how to include the dog. But after figure that out it went well.

I used following:

Wallpaper, grey and green
Dymo for the Gott nytt år text
Pink paper with flowers on
My printer for printing the dog
Glue and a white pencil

But most fun was of course to receive cards. To find a card in the mail is fun fun fun!! Have to do this again sometime.
