Here I wrote about a felted skull bag that I had started to knit. I found the pattern at Hello yarn and I have finished the bag now. Knitting it was easy I think it only took two days to finish it. Then I had to dread some days before I had the courage to felt it in the washing machine. Before I felted the bag I made a test with a little patch that I knitted to be sure that it shouldn’t felt too much. Maybe I could have felted it more then I did, but I think it’s fine like it is now.

I think a lining would be nice to have in the bag therefore I will make an easy one. I think that in the long run the bag is winning on that. Most because I don’t make it so dirty inside when I have a lining. But I have started to use it anyway.

I used:

8 mm circular, 60 cm long from Pony

Yarn:

The grey is from Järbo Garn, 100% wool

The white one is Fritidsgarn from Sandnesgarn, 100% wool

Think this was really fun to knit, and the principle is so easy so you could easy make your own bags. I think I have a pattern some were on a pair of gloves and a cap that you felt in the washing machine. Maybe I should try to make them sometime. But first I will use this bag and feel happy about that I have finished it!

I made an order from Annelitos shop!, ( For you who don’t read Swedish press on grejs to see the things). And in the package this two beautiful things came. A necklace with a dog I think it is, at least it is for me, and then I bought a bookmark. And I have used the necklace every day since it arrived. At work I have got many nice comments about it! Fun fun fun, and Anne should be proud to, she makes great things and takes a lot of fine photos!




And when Hanna attended at the design market I bought one more bookmark and one card, that card I gave to mom at Mother’s day today. Älskar dig mamma, is Love you mom. Me and my sister also gave her a necklace that i forgotten to take a picture of…

Yes, I need a scanner if someone would like to give me one.

It will be a weekend filled with congratulations because: tomorrow it is my father’s birthday. Therefore I wrapped my two presents in this turquoise paper and then used my turquoise string, which I have used once earlier, I think it became two nice parcels! I hope he will like what’s inside to.

Then on Sunday it’s Morsdag, mother’s day. Kärlek till mamma!

I guess I will have some fika when I go home tomorrow, probably some kind of cake.

Some time ago I watched a program on Kanal 5, Home styling, where they made one big collage on a table and then covered it with a glass plate. That wasn’t so special, but what got stock in my mind was the car pictures they used. Therefore I collected some pictures from my father’s car magazines with the intention to make a collage with cars. Yes, I do like cars, a lot actually. As a child I wanted to compete in rally, and ones I made a pupil’s work about Ronnie Peterson, Sweden’s first driver in formula 1. And when I went true the car magazines I found a calendar with cars from 2003 and thought that I could do the collage in that. But first I had to fix it a bit. Therefore I covered it with my favourite paper. (I will feel sad when I have used it all). Inside of it, on the first and last page I glued a white paper to achieve the feeling that it is a book and not an old calendar. Then the book was ready for me to make collages in it.

Tonight I felt inspired to make one, not the one with cars, instead one with the feeling of spring in. Spring for me is most about light, where I live the nights becomes bright the whole night in the summer. That’s the best thing about summer, light, light, light. After that I like all the colours and the curiosity that wakes to life in the spring.

The old armchair symbolize that spring always brings the same thing. Life! You can’t prevent it. It’s like a feeling of security, the same feeling an old armchair gives when you are sitting in it. I Also think spring is the best time for dreams, thinking is easy and the eyes sees clear.

I wish I could say that it’s a beautiful evening tonight. But it rains and I have work the entire day. But in the mail today I found my favourite magazine Hemslöjden, with the most beautiful cover in a long time! Look at all that pearls! And the content looks interesting to. Then a friend that’s lives far away from me called and that made me happy. I do miss her, but I will see her in a month when we will celebrate Midsummer in Dalarna together.

And when I look at the cherry tree outside my balcony I noticed that the buds have blossomed. So now I’m waiting for the flowers! That will be so nice!

This picture I took for some weeks ago, it’s also the cherry tree, but it was darker and the lamp in my garden was shining. I really like this picture. I like the colours and the light and I feel calm looking at it.



So in the end it turned out to be a good evening anyway!

I had found some pearls that I have bloged about earlier. And last syjunta I tried to make some kind of lantern for candles. I used a little glass aimed for candles and some wire and more pearls. And out came this after I had bend, curved and wind the iron wire. I don’t now if became as I had imagine it, but it became something anyway.

If I have had a beautiful garden with lots of trees or a veranda or a roof over my balcony I could have made some more of them and use them outside that had been very nice and cosy. But for the moment I have none of them so I have to think out some other kind of solution. Maybe I can make a bracket of some kind and then place it outside on my balcony. Have to think about that I think!

On this picture I have bend the pearls over the candle to make some nice reflections, I hadn’t made it like that from the beginning but then it didn’t reflect either.

When I moved to this apartment in December last year one of the things I felt most happy about apart from that it is a 2 room apartment, was the balcony. For almost 6 years I lived on the third floor without a balcony and in the summer that was not so fun. I would like to say it was like a punishment. Because the apartment was on the south side, which means that the sun heated the apartment the whole day. It was like lived in a sauna May to September…

So now when I can go out and sit on my balcony or just have the door open I feel so happy! I start to smile every time I think about it.

But the rail around it is just iron bars and I would like to feel a bit like “the balcony is my own little world and I don’t want anyone to disturb”. Because I still dream about the balcony that’s my neighbours in the old house had. Since they were like a smaller room, they had glassed most of them… so I’m still a bit jealous of that.

Therefore I decided to at list put up a fabric around the rail. I bought some awning fabric. Found this striped one in a local fabric store and I think it goes well with the yellow walls of my house.

I first hem the sides of the fabric and then in the ends I placed buttons so it would be easy to put on and to remove. It turned out like I had imagined it. Now one thing still remains and that is to find some nice piece of furniture that I like to place on it.

And on a length of an arm I can reach a cherry tree, for the moment looking like this.

I’m back and alive!

For the moment I can’t write anything in the blog, because my computer has broken down… So I can’t continue on my drafts that I have begun writing on. But my friend Jonas is working with the computer, so hopefully I’m back on track to the weekend. Which feels secure that it him working on it, he is the master on computers. This is the first time ever my computer has broken down in seven years (I haven’t had the same for so long) so I think I take it fairly good. I haven’t lost anything therefore It feels ok. Even if have some abstinence, when I’m a bit addicted to the internet…

At the moment I’m using my sister’s computer because I’m babysitting my nephew today. Which for the moment is very easy, he sleeps so sweet in his bed.

Found some pearls when I was looking true a box, so I made this just for fun. But I’m going to figure something out to do with them because it turned out pretty good I think. Maybe I do a decoration of some sort or something else. Time will show what.
