Studio Friday: “On the outside”
The thing I see from my studio corner when I look true my window is a really big and uncut cherry tree. This summer it gave us quit many berries. Me and my cousin picked them one evening and we had to use both a ladder and a rake to bend down the branches to reach them. But we could not pick them all even if we used the ladder and rake. The tree has become too high!

When I moved to this apartment last December I started a photo project involving the cherry tree. I try to follow it by the change of the seasons. The pictures is simple but it’s fun to se the trees all clothing’s. In one way I also like that the tree is so overgrown, it lives its own life!
If I look further there is a bunch of houses because I live on an ordinary Swedish residential district. Not a very great view, I wish I was able to look out over the ocean. But it could be worse too, so I don’t complain. Even if I don’t have the ocean to look out over I at least have the blue sky to look at. And that feels good, if I wasn’t able to see it I think I would die… or not die, but feel very, very ill!
Although creativity can be sprout almost everywhere, that’s one of the nice things with it. If you don’t have the great view on the outside your imagination can take you wherever you will go! If we wasn’t able to dream what would we do then?
I will not think about that! Instead I dream of something nice!

I love the idea of documenting the seasons through images of the cherry tree…
