I’m so angry at the moment; the flash on my camera has gone mad so I have to leave in my camera on service. And it couldn’t be a worse time because I’m going away on a smaller trip on Wednesday and had thought to bring it with me. So now it looks like I have too rent one while I have my on service. This could take two weeks until two month! They sad at the camera shop, when I talked to them today, typical!

I went shopping Saturday, found this nice wool fabric. Which I will make more sew cases of; I couldn’t resist it when I went to the fabric shop to buy some more buttons to my purses. Came home with some more stuff too, a new writing desk mat from this towns best shop when it comes to paper, Sandberg’s pappershandel, one new cd, Be the knight by Frida Selander and a pair of shoes. So now I’m ready to meet the winter, with my new shoes and jacket.

And of course, I bought glue to fix this broken man.

Yesterday this lady lost here husband in a tragic accident which is my fault. Some how I bump against it so he felled to the floor. So he looked like this after that. But I went out and bought some glue, so now he is whole again but has scars. And I have a pain in my heart, because I liked this couple so much, I have got them from my grandmother when she sold here house and moved to an apartment. There style doesn’t match my style but that is the thing I like with them. They are a breach of style which I appreciate. So now I have to move them to a safer place then before, because I don’t want to break someone of them again.

Last time I shopped at IKEA was this past summer when I was on my way home from Dalarna and Sätergläntan. That time I bought two RIBBA frames that was on sale for not much money and of course I shopped a lot more. After that they have been lying in my wardrobe until today when I got an impulse and framed two pieces of wallpaper that I had in my stuff. I will print some of my photos later and frame, but I can’t decide what. Maybe this grasshopper would be nice. But anyhow, meanwhile I think that this turned out quite nice. And most of all it is a very cheap way to decorate! I have only pay for the frames, and I think they didn’t cost more then 60 SEK together.

In the picture you can see that I haven’t finished my renovation really yet, I still haven’t painted the door frame. It became so boring so I didn’t paint it when I painted the baseboard. Think I have to take the time and do it, because it will look so much nicer if everything is painted.

This week’s topic: MY COLLECTION(S)!

“Most people collect something, it would be fun to see what others have in their collections.” ~ Silvia

Ohh… my collections! I have so many collections off different things so I can hardly count them all. I have collections of stuff to create with but also non creative collections.

My creative collections contains a collection of fabric that constant is growing, I have a small collection of knifes from Svante Djärv that I have written about earlier, I have a lot of papers and magazines. I really like to buy pearls in different shapes and forms which have result in this box to the left. I have a lot of sewing thread and stuff like that. Hmm… Sometimes I think that I have been a squirrel in a former life. But it’s nice to have all this things. I can always create something or listen to music, read a book or carve something with the knife.

The non creative collections come in many different shapes and forms. To start with I think my CD-collections are the biggest. I don’t really know how many I have but about 350 of them I think. If I should compare with some other CD-collectors I don’t have so many of them I think, but to non-collectors 350 is a lot. But I always want more CDs all the time! I also more or less collect books, even if I try to borrow as much as possible at the library. But they are many to. These two things can be a good help when you do something creative so they are both creative and non-creative stuff I think. Some how I have managed to get a rather big collection of vases too. I have bought many of them at IKEA, like this three for example. Really sweet and really cheap, a nice combination!

Think this is enough, I have more things, but I can’t write about them all!

Now let’s see what you collect!

I have made some angels in metal wire. The quality on the pictures isn’t the best because it’s to dark at the moment. But anyhow, I have tried to do these angels in some different ways before I finally came to this solution. They all look different which is the meaning and gets them there own personality. It’s fun to make them; in less then 10 minutes I have made one. Think they will look sweet in a Christmas tree or hanging in a window.

I have also made this funny thing, don’t know what it is, my brother-in-law thought it was a spider with wings. I had fun making this thing, even if the idea I had was something else. But out came this and I like it. I will name it Fanny! Think I will try to do one more sometimes.

one funny thing!

Fanny, the funny thing!

AUTUMN INSPIRATION!

“Autumn inspiration - According to my calendar, today (Sept 22) is the “Autumnal Equinox,” and it’s my favorite season, so show me what you love about the fall - the colors?… the leaves?…etc.”
~ Kerri

I love all the Colours that come with the autumn, the fresh air and the nice sunny days. I also love that you can stay in with a book and a cope of tea or a knitting and music on the stereo. But I don’t like that it becomes so dark here in the autumn and winter.

Here are some photos I have taken so far this autumn. I find them inspiring, they makes my happy and I find the nature fascinated.

CollageOctober 18, 2006 9:34 pm

Tonight it was syjunta, craft night, so now when I’m still in the flow after that I feel that I have to blog about my collage that I’m making.

One of my kitchen benches is filled with paper and other stuff because I’m making the biggest collage I ever have done. Don’t know yet if it will end up like I want but its going too be some kind of tribute to some cool women’s like Madonna, Greta Garbo, Ingrid Bergman and some more lady’s like that.

collage-work in progress

I think it’s kind of cool to work this big with collages because I have most done smaller ones before so this is a real challenge. For the moment I am working on the background/base. So right now it feels ok. But I haven’t started to use the colours yet, only glue and a lot of different papers…

I will return to this collage when I have finished it! Hopefully I have time to work more tomorrow! Now it’s time to sleep!

Woodwork/träslöjd, Textilt, StickaOctober 15, 2006 6:57 pm

This entire weekend I have done a lot of creative things. I have finished at least 8 krympburkar, 6 small purses, two sew-cases; I have knitted one my shawl and finished 10 garden decorations too! Earlier this week I finished 4 sew-cases. All this things I hopefully will sell on a Christmas market in November, except for the shawl, that I will keep for myself! Anyhow I look forward to this market; it’s the first time I’m going to try and sell something in that way. I have sold a lot of stuff before, but not on a market.

I used one of mom’s sewing machines when I made the sew-cases and the purses, one really old Husqvarna, so great! It was strong and I didn’t break one needle even if the fabric is thick. Hurray, for the old lovely machine!

I think this has been a really great creative week! Now I’m going to rest until Wednesday when it’s time for syjunta again! I think I will read some instead when I come home from work tomorrow and Tuesday. I need that too, and the book I’m reading for the moment is nice.

Some of the purses.

I went for a walk today when I took a break from the sewing machine. Watched this…

cone

This cones looked really funny, it been raining a lot, I think it’s therefore the sand is formed around the cones.

Last time I went to a flea market was last Sunday. Then I found this embroidery, Rosenträd, in a box, only 10 SEK, a real find! I find it sweet and it’s so my colours! I only have to change the frame and make a new passpartau? What are the English spelling/ word for that? After that I will hang it in my new renovated hall, which now is grey, grey, grey, and I love, I love, I love.

Okay, that was a recurrence, but my hall has been a big problem for me, the structure has been awful before, so stressful but now I feel calm when I look at the walls… Feels great!

Just look at this knitting that becoming a shawl, can you see what I mean by saying that it is my colours… I like!

Ohh! Finally after one week of constant rain, I can now see the sun!

This morning I had big problems to get up from bed. It felt like I had been nailed into the bed. My head is aching. And the only thing I did yesterday was being creative the whole day and at night I went to work for 4 hours.

But now I feel that I finally can think a bit clearer, I don’t like when it’s rain this much! Sadly I think that I have to stand the bad weather for some more days, because smhi is saying that it will be more rain… Typical!
