I have finished my bird-pillow now!
I’m pleased with the result. Even if I became a bit tired on it before I was able to make the last stitches. It took a lot of time to figure out how I should finish it. Even if I made a pattern before starting I had to change thoughts and ideas along the road.
I started with the birds, and then made the circle with the leaves. To have it like that only felt strange and unfinished. So I tried to make the small flowers outside the circle, making them gave the pillow a better general impression but I felt that something was missing anyhow. In that stage the embroidery became heavy and not funny anymore. Some weeks past and I just looked at it sometimes and then put it back in the paper bag.
To have it in a paper bag felt wrong, so I just decided to finish it and make it to a pillow after some weeks anyhow. So I could start other projects instead. Therefore I made the yellow flowers, but it didn’t feel complete, therefore I tried to make the knots round them, it felt fairly good so I kept them.
Even if I had problems with this embroidery I am pleased with the result! It’s the first time I make something like this. But a question I could ask myself is why I always have to start a big project instead of first trying a smaller one?
One thing remains, giving it a name! Have to think some more on that I guess!

Tough birds in a good folkstyle.Love it really.

Oj, vad fin:) Jag är väldigt förtjust i naivistiska mönster. Den påminner om kuddarna som kvinnorna på Livstycket broderar.
