Skapande

Igår tog jag tag i min sypall igen, tänkte jag skulle klä om dynan så jag kunde montera fast den igen. Så jag började helt enkelt ta bort det gamla tyget, eller rättare sagt tygen. För det visade sig att det var två lager tyg, samt någon konstig stoppning i form av något slags spån. Det var lite otäckt faktiskt. Men jag är å andra sidan lite känslig för sådant som jag upplever vara äckligt på något sätt. Tyvärr visade det sig att skivan någon gång har blivit fuktig för det fanns lite tendenser till mögel i ena hörnet så det blev inte så mycket mer med att klä om just den skivan. Istället har jag idag kapat till en ny på jobbet. 7 mm plywood blev det, och det var ju även vad som satt där innan. Igår letade jag även upp stoppning som jag ville minnas att jag hade, vad som är bra med denna är att den är i tunna sjok, så två lagar kändes bra. Den är ju inte i första hand tänkt att sitta på utan mer att ser mjuk och skön ut bara. Jag har nog med sittplatser nu tror jag.

Hur som helst, jag gjorde följande: klippte ut tyget med ca 7 cm marginal runt om, klippte till stoppningen så den stämde överrens med skivan samt såg till att jag hade stift i häftpistolen. Därefter är det bara att börja häfta fast. Jag vek in kanten på tyget, häftade fast nästan hela ena sidan men lämnade lite för att kunna göra hörnen sist. Därefter spände jag tyget på motsatta sidan och därefter de andra två sidorna som är motsatta. När jag en gång gick en möbeltapetseringskurs lärde jag mig att det är viktigt att spänna tyget på motsatta sidor för bästa resultat. När det är en sådan här liten yta på 36 x 36 cm kanske det inte är superviktigt, men resultatet blir alltid bra när jag använder den tekniken. Därefter försökte jag vika hörnen snyggt, det som alltid brukar vara svårast att åstadkomma. Fördelen med denna är ju att skivan är nedsänkt så de syns inte så mycket.

Slutresultatet efter att jag även hade skurat och använt möbelpolish blev väldigt bra tycker jag. Nu återstår bara att hitta den rätta platsen för den. Tills vidare får den stå bredvid min byrå där jag förvara delar av mina material. Just ja, tyget är köpt på Åhléns, designat av Angie Lewin

Igår fyllde min far 60 år, jag tror fortfarande jag har en sockerchock efter födelsedagsfikat!

Jag har haft en gammal pall stående här hemma, ingen jätte gammal, den är kanske från 70-talet eller så. Den är av furu, vilket i längden är väldigt tråkigt och jag har många gamla möbler från 50- och 60-talet som alla har olika nyanser och blandade träslag, därför blir jag ibland väldigt less på blandningen av möbler. Så det kändes plötsligt som att det var läge för lite ommålning. Färg hade jag kvar sedan ett tidigare målningsprojekt, så det fick bli beige eftersom jag inte ville lägga några pengar på den, så fin är den inte.

I have made one small renovation on one stool I have, painted it. I got tired of the pine and all my combinations of wood in my furniture’s.

My Easter holiday is soon over, I only have two more days, then I’m back to work again. Two of the past days this week I together with my brother-in-law placed in new floors at my parents’ home. It wasn’t hard to do, it only took time. But we finished three floors in two days, so it went well. Now my parents only have to wait on the painter that will put up the new wallpapers. After that they have to nail up the new white baseboards and then they have three new rooms! I’m looking forward to see the new result! Because one of the rooms had a really ugly carpet from 1970 something. So when the walls get new fresh wallpapers it will be like a whole new home!

I have start too sew some of the striped tricot I bought earlier this year. It will become a vest if I only take the time to sew the last seams. Have to do that before Sunday I think.

I have order some stuff that I will use sometime, thought they could be good to find. Some badges, one old car and two crowns. And some pearls. Like I didn’t have enough stuff already.

Last time I shopped at IKEA was this past summer when I was on my way home from Dalarna and Sätergläntan. That time I bought two RIBBA frames that was on sale for not much money and of course I shopped a lot more. After that they have been lying in my wardrobe until today when I got an impulse and framed two pieces of wallpaper that I had in my stuff. I will print some of my photos later and frame, but I can’t decide what. Maybe this grasshopper would be nice. But anyhow, meanwhile I think that this turned out quite nice. And most of all it is a very cheap way to decorate! I have only pay for the frames, and I think they didn’t cost more then 60 SEK together.

In the picture you can see that I haven’t finished my renovation really yet, I still haven’t painted the door frame. It became so boring so I didn’t paint it when I painted the baseboard. Think I have to take the time and do it, because it will look so much nicer if everything is painted.

Two weeks ago it was a big flea market here in town. Me and Hanna went there and bought a lot of things. I came home with a very nice teak bowl, a small bag with food coupons from the war, a bunch of old magazines and one thing I will give to someone in Christmas present. And then I bought one more thing, this really nice hallway bench! I loooove it!

The old lady that I bought it from hadn’t decided a price so I bid here 50 SEK and she agreed to sell it to me! Hurray! It’s perfect for my repainted hallway. The only thing I had to do with it was to change the fabric on the seat. I found this in a local fabric store; it is different kind of chairs on it I placed this one to be in the middle of the seat. I’m really satisfied with the result!




It was a funny paper in the drawer! Some happy horses, but I threw it away, because it didn’t smell so well.

When I lived in my old apartment I had a very small kitchen table, because I only had a kitchen nook so the table had to been in my room. Then when I moved I had to found a bigger table and first I thought about buying this table, Björkudden at IKEA and this chair, Stefan.

But instead of buying something new I found an old table which my grandmother and grandfather had as a dining table in the living room when they where alive. And then four chairs that has been in our weekend cottage, which no longer are a cottage, instead my parents home.

But the chairs had two different fabrics on the seats so I had to change.

So I found this brown fabric that I really liked and decided to change to that instead. And this is how it turned out.

I did some painting yesterday in the new apartment. The old white paint was more yellow then white as the picture shows. Now its really white and fresh!
