I have finished the angel that I wrote about Monday and it turned out like this.

I made the body and head of steel-wire it was a lot of winding before I got it as I wanted. The body became more like something on an animal then a body of something human. But the dress makes it to a normal body. Then I used a bit of an old white curtain that I cut off years ago, to the petticoat. Made it so it would look like a flounce and then I use the lilac fabric with flowers on to the dress. The dress is made of four pieces of fabric. The dress is one piece and the petticoat it sewed to a kind of body-sock. Making the petticoat and dress became a bit hard here and there. Had to think and find other ways, but after some thinking I found the right track, and then it just went well. I also found some pearls that I could make two necklace of and some lilac pearls that I used to the eyes. Maybe I will make a halo, haven’t decided that yet. The wings are made of steel-wire and some lilac very thin steel-wire that I have wind around the thicker wire.

I feel quiet happy about the result, maybe I should have had some lace on it, but I don’t have any. Now I only have to leave it in at the museum and it will be so fun to see how other people have interpreted the angel-competition. I feel satisfied that I have made a non-traditional angel, I have not seen something like this, of course there are angels made with steel-wire and fabric, but I can’t say that I have seen something like this anyhow.

I had fun making it, but I think it will take some time before I make on more angel. So what have I named this angel then? I call it “Carry me home” because it’s just that the angels do? Carry people “home” and where home is, I think we all have our own ideas about. I think it would be great to be carried to the everlasting woods the day my life ends. But I hope it’s a long, long time to that moment.

I have made some angels in metal wire. The quality on the pictures isn’t the best because it’s to dark at the moment. But anyhow, I have tried to do these angels in some different ways before I finally came to this solution. They all look different which is the meaning and gets them there own personality. It’s fun to make them; in less then 10 minutes I have made one. Think they will look sweet in a Christmas tree or hanging in a window.

I have also made this funny thing, don’t know what it is, my brother-in-law thought it was a spider with wings. I had fun making this thing, even if the idea I had was something else. But out came this and I like it. I will name it Fanny! Think I will try to do one more sometimes.

one funny thing!

Fanny, the funny thing!

I don’t know how it happened, but suddenly I have a smaller collection of cans. This summer I received two and bought one. And now I have received one more, my sister and here family is moving to a new apartment and she has cleaned here cupboards. So she gave me this one, it has belonged to our grandmother I think.

Now I have to find out something fore them, I can’t just store them in my cupboards either.

When I surfed For the love of country for some days ago the owner, Anna, had made a type of crown in black steel wire. Seeing that made me start thinking and I couldn’t stop… So before I went to bed I had too make a sketch of a crown that I felt that I would like too create. And now I have made it! How did it turn out then, you can see it on the two big pictures, maybe it’s something for a king?

I really like the crown shape. When I make my garden decorations I do one type of crowns. I have a great ceramic lamp in the shape of a crown that I bought at Norrgavel in Malmö when I visited a friend. And when I doodle I often tend to make them too.

And now I have this crown, which I feel really happy about. I will try to do it in some other shapes to, maybe a crown for a queen, or with other pearls. Bigger, smaller or higher, oh, there are so many opportunities!

I had found some pearls that I have bloged about earlier. And last syjunta I tried to make some kind of lantern for candles. I used a little glass aimed for candles and some wire and more pearls. And out came this after I had bend, curved and wind the iron wire. I don’t now if became as I had imagine it, but it became something anyway.

If I have had a beautiful garden with lots of trees or a veranda or a roof over my balcony I could have made some more of them and use them outside that had been very nice and cosy. But for the moment I have none of them so I have to think out some other kind of solution. Maybe I can make a bracket of some kind and then place it outside on my balcony. Have to think about that I think!

On this picture I have bend the pearls over the candle to make some nice reflections, I hadn’t made it like that from the beginning but then it didn’t reflect either.

Found some pearls when I was looking true a box, so I made this just for fun. But I’m going to figure something out to do with them because it turned out pretty good I think. Maybe I do a decoration of some sort or something else. Time will show what.
